Andres Bosshard (Sound Walks, 2012)
For many years Swiss artist Andres Bosshard has been focusing his attention to the cartography of sounds. In Zürich-West he has come up with half a dozen "Sound Walks" —journeys of discovery through the district on another level of perception. Andres Bosshard has previously collaborated with urban experts and architects in other European cities, systematically examining the sound of the city and developing the basic method of the “sound walk. ” In Zürich-West Bosshard will lead visitors on a series of strolls that will, as art historian Selma Dubach writes, “invite people to discover an individual sound experience, which guarantees unique pleasure and poetic visions of flying sounds and choreophonic dimensions.”
